Church of St. John the Baptist, Visegrád
The Baroque church was designed by Lénárd Schade and built between 1773 and 1782. Its narrow steeple has two parts with a clock and a string course in the upper part. The building has double naves with large windows.
The main altar was made around 1780. Behind the tabernacle there is a statue of St. John the Baptist. The main altarpiece was painted by Fischer Vicencz in the 18th century and it was brought here from the Sigismund Chapel in Buda in the 1930's.
